All this cold weather has me looking ahead to spring and thinking about spring home updates! This month I am breaking down the colors everyone is talking about for this year and how to use them.
Pantone’s Color of the Year – Ultra Violet
Purple has always been one of my favorite colors and I just love Pantone’s color of the year, Ultra Violet 18-3838. “The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute. What do you think of this blue-based purple?

HGTV: Spring 2018’s Trending Colors + How to Use Them
Are you drawn to bold and bright or soft and subtle? Either way, there is something for everyone on HGTV’s forecast! From perky peach to sandstone taupe and everything in between.
My favorite from this collection – Energized Blues! According to HGTV, blues work best in spaces where everyone is feeling lively or focused. Think living room, dining room, kitchen, or at the office.

Sincerity by Sherwin-Williams
This year is all about de-cluttering and getting rid of those things lying around your house that you don’t need and Sherwin-Williams agrees. They took influences from silence, Instagram, minimalism, Hygge ( cozy, charming), and Normcore, when forecasting their colors for this year.
See how “blending in is the new standing out.”
BEHR 2018 Color of the Year – In the Moment
I love the concept of living in the moment and can’t get enough of Behr’s color of the year, T18-15. One thing I love about this color is it can be used for both interior and exterior projects.
