Put the parka away – the sun’s out and we are feeling fine! It’s time to throw on some shades and get out and explore everything the Triangle has to offer.
One thing Raleigh has a lot of? Awesome patios! Here are just a few of my favorites:
The Station at Person Street
This Raleigh Historic Oakwood neighborhood bar is the perfect place to relax, even when the weather is a little chilly. Pull up a chair at the bar or camp out around one of their wood-burning fire pits for a little heat. They are known for their farm-fresh food and local brews. What’s not to love?
Taverna Agora Greek Kitchen & Bar
Opa! There is really nothing like the patio at this Greek-inspired spot. From the gorgeous view of Hillsborough Street to the pretty foliage, this rooftop restaurant & bar is hard to beat.
Humble Pie
Located in the warehouse district, Humble Pie serves delightful dishes meant to share. Their beautiful outdoor covered patio is the ideal hangout before or after a show at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts or a concert at Red Hat Amphitheater.
The Players’ Retreat or PR
Can’t forget an old fav, a Raleigh staple for over 65 years, sits on Oberlin Rd., right at the edge of NC State’s campus. The Wolfpack themed restaurant often has friends watching the game and Friday happy hour is popular with many of my neighbors.
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
Another fav for Friday happy hour! With plenty of draft beers to choose from and delicious signature appetizers to munch on, their spacious outdoor terrace is the perfect summer hangout.
