Homes in Raleigh are still going fast and for top dollar. This could be due to the fact that the job market in Raleigh is among the strongest in the country, gaining 35,600 jobs year-over-year through December 2022! Where Are People Moving in Raleigh?
In the Raleigh metropolitan statistical area, for every 100 people who chose to move, 54 of them moved into the region while 46 moved away. That’s among the highest ratios of inbound movers in the country. So, we know more people are deciding to move to Raleigh than those who are deciding to move away, but where are they going?
According to WRAL TechWire from a data set from the National Association of REALTORS®, the most popular zip codes, measured by the share of inbound movers, includes 27568, 27636, 27658, 27627, 27624, 27562, and 27611, all of which have more than two of every three movers coming from out of the metropolitan statistical area.
