Did you know Raleigh has a super-secret unique shopping experience on Clark Avenue. 👀 Meet The Fort, a hidden gem/treasure trove of thoughtfully selected new and vintage gifts and home goods. This one-of-a-kind destination is a must-know, especially if you’re looking to shop small during the holiday season.
About The Fort
Pam Clark founded The Fort in 2012 out of her freestanding 1927 garage near Downtown Raleigh. Offering a “happy place” for locals, The Fort prides itself on offering a retail experience that’s not only special, but also provides the best customer service possible. There’s always someone close by to help you select the perfect item. Additionally, the inventory is almost constantly rotating with something fresh and different, so every time you stop by, you’ll find something new and exciting. And, of course, receiving a gift from The Fort is a thrill in itself!
Important note: The door goes up weekly, ten months out of the year—and the days and times are different every week (either 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.). The Fort is also closed in January and February. The best way to find out the days/times each week is to sign up for their email list, which goes out once a week with the hours and includes product photos. You can also call, text, DM, or email for pickup at The Annex, located right beside the shop.

Unique Treasures on Offer
As we mentioned, collections rotate regularly, but The Fort offers a range of amazing products. Think candles; jewelry, bags and other accesories; art; glass and tableware; furniture; home trinkets; and other gifts you won’t find anywhere else.
